Is Short-Form Content the Key to Growing Your Online Business
Should you focus more on long-form or on short-form content?
I'm going to get real with you about something every online business owner struggles with creating content that actually helps your business grow.
Every successful business seemed to have a different approach.
Some creators were killing it with quick, snappy videos. Others were building audiences with long, in-depth content.

Creating Content
Content is how you connect with people. It's how you show potential customers who you are and what you can do for them.
Think of it like having a conversation with someone who might want to work with you.
But not all content works the same way. What works for one business might totally fail for another.
The Short-Form Content Trap
Short-form content looks super easy. Quick videos. Fast posts. Seems simple, I know.
But here's what I learned:
Short videos can attract the wrong audience
They might get lots of views but few real customers
Some platforms make your content disappear quickly
It's hard to build deep trust in 30 seconds

A Better Method
Here's my big revelation: The best content strategy is a mix of approaches.
Imagine your content as a conversation with a friend. Short clips grab their attention. Longer videos build trust. Both have their place.
For most online businesses, long-form content is the real winner. Why?
Because:
You can explain things in depth
People get to know you better
Your content stays useful for longer
You attract more serious customers
Who Should Use What Kind of Content?
Your ideal content depends on your business and who you want to reach.
Example: If you're a fitness coach targeting young adults, short videos might work great. If you're helping professionals solve complex problems, longer content will work better.
My Experiment
At this moment, I have two dead YouTube channels. Both lost monetization because the watch hours fell under 4,000 watch hours last year.
I have never been passionate about the niches, so I didn’t focus on them much.
But I have a thinking about an experiment.
On one channel, I'm going to upload only Shorts, and on the second, I'm going to mix Shorts with long-form videos.
I have already started, but it is too early to make some conclusions.
Channel 1 - only Shorts
Channel 2 - Mix of content
The Real Secret
The most important thing? Be yourself. Your unique voice matters more than perfect videos or trendy formats.
Don't try to copy someone else's style. Find what feels natural to you. Your ideal customers will appreciate your authenticity.
So, do you want to improve your content strategy?
Here are three simple actions:
Experiment with different content lengths
Watch what your ideal customers respond to
Focus on providing real value
Creating content for your business isn't about being perfect. It's about connecting with people who need what you offer.
And don’t forget that your story matters. Your business matters.
And the right content will help you share that with the world.
Enjoy your day,
